Terrific Tuesday!

Today was another jam packed day filled with excitement and loads of fun. It started out a little rainy, but luckily after lunch the sun came out and we got back to work. although the rain did give us an opportunity to sit down and tell stories and get to know each other a little better. 

There was one group that visited a nursing home, which was a little scary at first due to the fact that the home was located on top of a very steep hill. Thankfully they all made it safely (up and down the hill) and they they had a blast. After that they went to Kids Club and they broke out of their shells with some dancing and singing along to church songs. 

Another group went to the Williamson Feild House, they helped touch up a but of the paint in the building. In the hours that it wasn't raining, the group finished up building a wheelchair ramp, and fixing the moldy floor. 

Next we had a group that went to a small neighborhood and one homeowner, named Stacy, was kind enough to make us lunch (with lots if bacon grease)! The group really enjoyed hearing lots of stories Stacy told about her life and family, and one about a very large cucumber that she once grew in her garden.

Later that evening, when we all gathered back together, we headed to our evening activity which was line dancing to blue grass music at the Delbarton Opry House. It was quite the experience when Mimi and Kirk started dancing together and had the whole floor to themselves. It was really fun seeing everyone participating in the dance, there was almost no one sitting out! 

Today was exciting and I can't wait to share tomorrow about our adventures we experience throughout the day!
